✏️ Graphite, Charcoal & Pencil — My First Love
My journey began with a pencil in my hand.
Graphite and charcoal were my earliest teachers — quiet, familiar, and honest. With them, I learned to slow down and truly see people. Not just outlines and features, but the subtle curve of a cheekbone, the unspoken emotion in a gaze, the stories told within the shades of the skin. There’s something intimate about pencil work. Every mark is deliberate. Every shadow is earned. The softness of charcoal, the fine detail of graphite — they allow me to move between realism and mood with ease. These pieces feel close to the heart because they are built from observation, patience, and touch.
Pencil was my first language as an artist. It helped me understand light, depth, and humanity. It still feels like home.
