From the Seeds that I Planted
“From the seeds that I planted” is a digital art series that grew after I decided to release the ideology that anyone else other than God, and myself deserves, the credit for cultivating the flowers that have grown through some of the most turbulent times of my life. I have died what feels like a thousand times in this lifetime. Each death and the wave of emotions that came with it has nourished and enriched the soil from which I’ve emerged, creating the beautiful bouquet that you all get to see today. I could never describe the last 30yrs of my life without speaking of major transformations. I'm so grateful for the genuine support and love that's poured unto me daily from everyone around me, but this is what I prayed for. It’s what I worked so hard for. This is all Me and would not be possible without the love of God guiding the way. I have bloomed from the seeds that I planted, and today I'm choosing to stop and smell my flowers.
The Beauty in the Dark Series
This series was all about finding myself in the dark and willing myself out of the shadows. I spent a month painting in the shadows of a heavy mental space. I think we all struggle with our mental space at some point. For me, it's usually when it gets cold out and just around the holidays when I get homesick and start missing my family.
Art helps me find beauty in the moment. I tend to sit in it to feel it, and understand it, then as always, I push through. All days aren't full of sunshine and rainbows but you can always find beauty in the dark.
