the Leap
In the summer of 2016, I woke up in my small hometown of Childersburg, Alabama with a realization that it was time to take control of my life. By October, I packed my whole life into seven bags with all the faith I could carry, bought a one-way Greyhound bus ticket, and moved across the country to Brooklyn, New York. This leap of faith marked the beginning of a transformative journey, one that has shaped my identity as an Artist, children’s book Author, and Artpreneur.
Living The dream
For almost 10 years, New York has been my canvas and my muse. The city's vibrant energy, diverse culture, and relentless spirit have inspired and challenged me, fueling my creative evolution. In 2018, I decided to invest in my future and my artistry by quitting my job to pursue my passion full-time. This leap of faith was driven by a deep desire to not only create art but to live a life that authentically represents who I am and what I stand for.
As an artist, I work across multiple disciplines, including painting, digital art, and mixed media. My work is a reflection of my journey—a blend of raw emotion, vibrant energy, and a touch of the free-spirited nature that defines me. Whether it's a bold acrylic painting, a delicate watercolor piece, or a dynamic digital creation, my art speaks to the themes of transformation, resilience, and self-discovery.
In addition to creating art, I am also a children’s book Author, sharing my experiences and insights through writing. My stories aim to inspire others to take control of their lives, embrace their creativity, and pursue their passions with unwavering determination.
As an Artpreneur, I am dedicated to not only producing art, but also to building a sustainable and impactful creative business. I believe in the power of art to connect, communicate, and transform, and I strive to share this belief with others through my work, collaborations, and community engagements.
